The theme is: what brings You a Workshop?
We participated a Chineese Painting Workshop on the weekend.
Lili Yuan
[link] teached us the elementary of Ink Painting.
3 sorts of art directions (traditional):
- Gong Bi (detailed paintings - landscapes)
- Flower Bird (detailed paintings - Flora et Fauna)
- Xie Yi (sponaneous painting)
The ink is black. All other colors coming from the tube. The material is thin rice paper.
We learned the spontanous one. U mix the colors and the gradiation in the brush. Elements drawn with 1-2 brush strokes. Must take care of brush pressure/speed/position, BW/color gradient quality, water/ink/colour quantity. Then give it a detailed touch with some black lines/dots. Finished.
The composition aranged to Yin/Yang. Picture elements - blank left space. Foreground, darker - background lighter colors. Dense - loose parts. Those above must place assymetric. Don't place it in shape of regular poligons. If it's possible use randommly crossing elements this would raise the depth. Bind the elements together. A leave needs always a branch. Branches begining outside of the picture, and if it's possible ending outside also.
Two of them (self made ;D):
